Belfast’s Grand Opera House stands right beside The Fitzwilliam Hotel Belfast.
Located on Great Victoria Street- it is one of the city’s best-loved landmarks. It opened its doors on 23 December 1895 and since then some of the greatest names in theatre and music have entertained hundreds of thousands of people from all over the world.
It’s an institution, a beautifully ornate old theatre that was designed by theatrical architect Frank Matcham.
The original building was extended. Behind it sits a smaller performance space, The Baby Grand, and Luciano’s café bar and restaurant.
